Stunning location on the outskirts of the village, overlooking the local church and beautiful countryside . João is an extremely responsive host and we loved the recommendations he gave us for our stay. Perfect stay for people like us who enjoy nature, a glimpse of village life and being on our own until the evening . I will cherish memories of sitting on the deck with a glass of wine watching the last rays of sun hitting the distant hills... special place!"

"By far, this was our favorite spot of our two-week trip through Portugal. The host provided specific directions, with warning markers to tell us exactly where to turn (it's important, as the driveway entrance is a little hidden from the road). The house was exceptional, with incredible views of the lake, beautiful views of the mountains and several towns that dot the landscape. We appreciate the picturesque town where it is located (I loved the church bells ringing to mark the time) and many hiking trails nearby. The deck was large and provided a hammock, hanging rocking chair, and table. We ate all of our meals outside. The host provided a basket of fresh fruit upon our arrival and we found nuts on the property ! Very quiet and relaxing house and location. Great reading material with lots of books available."

"This property is incredibly beautiful! From the house itself to the views and peaceful surroundings, this is a gem. Certainly one of the best - if not the best - Airbnb properties we've stayed at. The house is very comfortable and doesn't need anything Everything you could need is there, and the kitchen in particular is very well decorated. The photos accurately portray the property. João was very proactive and responsive. We had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to return!!"

"What a wonderful relaxing house to explore the Douro Valley! We loved the view from the balconies and how peaceful the surroundings were. We were completely relaxed. A short (20-30 minute) and incredibly beautiful drive to the Douro Valley itself, it's an excellent location. João was a very receptive and welcoming host. We would love to return for another visit."

"This was probably the best airbnb we've ever stayed in! It was a lovely combination of old stone with very modern bathrooms and kitchens. The view is spectacular, and it's extremely peaceful, surrounded by nature in every direction. Sitting on the back deck at the At the end of the day, seeing the lights come on on the other side of the valley was a real treat.
The linens were of high quality, both sheets and towels, and the water pressure and hot water were perfect. The interior is beautifully decorated, with stunning lamps, a combination of antique and modern comfortable furniture, little candles everywhere and a bookshelf full of books. The rustic pool was lovely too.
João helped us a lot with recommendations of places to go, to do various activities nearby and where to buy groceries, etc. He was extremely responsive and also quick to respond when we had questions while we were there.
I recommend this place very highly. Stay here, you won't regret it! *****

PERFECT! It is the word that defines our stay. The house is incredible! Beautiful! Cozy! It is in a privileged location in the region, perfect for those with a car! The kitchen is super functional, well equipped! The balcony has a wonderful view. João was super helpful and helped us promptly whenever we needed him. Super attentive to the details that make all the difference to create an unforgettable experience!

"This gem of a modern country cottage is simply breathtaking! The surroundings and views are incredible and peaceful. The amenities inside are charming and comfortable. We loved the deck overlooking the valley and the large but cozy Great Room. The modern kitchen was also a great space. We enjoyed morning walks on and around the property. We really enjoyed our stay."

"This was by far the BEST AirBnB we've stayed in. We're both digital nomads, so we've been through a few, but João's place is fantastic! The house is a mix of contemporary and classic, beautiful, super comfortable, spacious, clean, the views are breathtaking and even when we needed a desk for the home office João managed to get us one on the same day. We definitely want to go back again at some point :) I HIGHLY recommend it there!"

"Wonderful house decorated with antiques and extreme good taste! Very welcoming with everything needed to live there for a few days, it exceeded our expectations. We had a basket with fruit and another with nuts waiting for us, there were coffee capsules too. We had firewood for light the fireplace. Lots of books, some very old. The balcony/terrace is incredible.
Joao helped us understand where we could have meals among other great help :)
The fact that I could take my four-legged daughter and see her happy in the surrounding space was worth it all!!!"

"This place stood out as one of the most beautiful Airbnbs we have ever stayed in. It is on the side of a hill overlooking a small village and the valley. João provided everything we could need. Any problems we had, he was quick in resolving, he went above and beyond. The house is a renovated building from I think around the first century, but the house had been recently renovated with all the sophisticated details. Every room had windows that opened to the outside. We loved sitting on the porch on the swings and Hamic having our breakfast and looking out over the valley. In the Airbnb photos, the house obviously looks amazing, but I think the views were a surprise! I would definitely come and stay here again"

It's worth mentioning that the house is Pet friendly and that they also take the greatest care and affection for 4-legged guests ;)
